Cow Bolete (Suillus bovinus)

Cap: 4-10cm Straw coloured. Viscid with a pale margin.

Stem: A little lighter than the cap. Becoming rust-coloured in the base of the stem with age.

Tubes: Greyish-yellow

Pores: Large and irregularly angular. Straw at first, eventually olive-buff.

Spores: Walnut brown

Flesh: White or pale yellow.

Habitat: On the ground with pine trees.

Frequency: Common
