Cap: 5-60cm Bracket. Top surface pale ochre with darker fibrous scale in concentric rings.

Stem: Short and lateral

Tubes: 5-10mm Cream or pale ochre.

Pores: Large and irregular.

Spores: White

Flesh: White

Habitat: On deciduous trees or deadwood.

Frequency: Very Common

Season:  Jan  Feb  Mar  Apr  May  Jun  Jul  Aug  Sep  Oct  Nov  Dec 

Edibility: Edible

Eating notes: This fungus is edible when young. Fresh brackets under 12cm are usually fine. Older, larger specimens become tough and woody.
