Fruit body: 2-6cm fan-shaped. Grey-purple becoming brown. Gelatinous and translucent. Rather than gills this species has small spines (similar to a true hydnum).

Stem: Rudimentary

Spores: White

Flesh: Gelatinous and translucent.

Habitat: The stumps and trunks of conifers.

Frequency: Occasional

Season:  Jan  Feb  Mar  Apr  May  Jun  Jul  Aug  Sep  Oct  Nov  Dec 

Edibility: Not Edible
